Description
Applications
Different kinds of processing have different applications. For instance, polished and honed are applied in flooring, interior walls and steps of the buildings. Architects use leather bush hammered, and tumbled dark gray marble as yard paving and decorative elements in façade of the buildings. Cubic marble are applied as sidewalks paving. Constructors usually use windshield and guillotine dark gray marble as decorative stones in building exterior design.
Polished gray marble is not normally used in building façades since it loses color under the sunlight.
Features
- Dark background
- Pretty low water absorption
- High abrasion power
- High density
- Cannot be used in exterior façade of the buildings due to being decolored under the sun, also it is not resistant to climate changes due to its nature.
Factors Affecting Marble Price
- Solid color and being deep black or gray
- The less fossils and grains there are in the stone, the higher price it will have
- The Quality of slabs processing
- Dimension of the slabs: the thicker and larger the slab is, the higher it will be priced
